| Biography | Mark Kenny's practice is focused on medical malpractice defense, professional licensure and credentialing, and products liability. Mark manages complex multi-party cases with dedication and tenacity that insures consistently positive results for our clients. Mark represents clients in all aspects of professional liability litigation, including defending physicians and hospitals in cases involving emergency services, anesthesia injuries, birth injuries, surgical injuries, orthopedic injuries, and drug overdose. Mark also has extensive experience representing clients in drug and medical device litigation, products liability and complex torts. He has been trial counsel at mandatory malpractice pre-litigation screening panel hearings, and in cases in both the state and federal court. Prior to joining FGWL, Mark practiced as in-house trial counsel for Hanover Insurance Company in Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine where he was an integral part of the defense team that successfully represented a pharmaceutical marketer in the massive Phen Fen Multi-District Litigation. Mark has also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Maine where he prosecuted criminal cases in the District and Superior Court. A native of New York and citizen of both the U.S. and Ireland, Mark lives in Portland, Maine, with his wife, Gina Kenny, a clinical psychologist, and daughters, Clare and Alice. He enjoys hiking, Nordic skiing, and canoeing with his family in Western Maine. Biking is his preferred mode of getting to the office. |
