Marsena Farris practices in the Health Care/Not-For-Profit Group. Marsena's practice focuses on the representation of not-for-profit entities such as foundations, religious organizations and health care providers licensed as home health agencies, hospices, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, nursing homes and managed care organizations. She represents clients in all types of complex transactional and regulatory matters. Marsena also has expertise in managed care contracting, compliance and health care fraud and abuse issues. Marsena assists clients with adherence to City, State and Federal labor and employment laws, executive employment agreements, non-competes, severance agreements, the defense of employee discrimination and harassment claims and issues involving a unionized workforce. Marsena also counsels clients on matters of not-for-profit corporate governance and best practices.
Marsena received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, where she was an Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law (formerly the Michigan Yearbook of International Legal Studies). Marsena received her B.A. from the George Washington University, magna cum laude.
