· Managed all litigation nationwide for Fortune 500 energy company
· Represented major segment of natural gas pipeline industry in nationwide class action alleging gas mismeasurement
· Successfully prosecuted insurance coverage declaratory judgment suit to set aside unreasonable $1 million consent judgment; opinion of Missouri Supreme Court established new Missouri rule that settlements under Mo. Rev. Stat §537.065 must be reasonable
· Successful prosecution, trial and appeal of a more than $20 million U.S. Tax Court case, with a finding for taxpayer on proper depreciation of natural gas gathering assets
· Successfully defended trial of $9 million claim for breach of contract to sell long-term natural gas supply contract with associated package of derivative hedging agreements
· Defense award in $35 million arbitration claim for breach of confidentiality agreement and wrongful solicitation and hiring of employees
· Successfully defended proprietary career college in five week jury trial for consumer fraud claims brought by former students
· Represents major regional gasoline retailer and selected as Defendants' Liaison Counsel on behalf of more than 140 defendants in dozens of consumer class actions across multiple districts in Motor Fuel Temperature Sales Practices Litigation (MDL)
· Defends colleges and universities regionally and nationally in consumer fraud litigation and class actions
