Over the last thirty years, Marty Wilson has represented the interests of insurers and other businesses in an extremely broad insurance practice. He has represented agents, agencies, insurers, administrators, holding companies, and others for a variety transactions and regulatory matters. Although his primary practice is for insurers in Georgia, he has represented and consulted with various business entities nationwide on insurance-related and business problems.
Representative Experience
Represented state chartered FDIC bank in regulatory proceedings and litigation involving payday lending activities.
Participated in product design, filing, approval and distribution for life, health and property and casualty insurers.
Represented a prominent life insurance trade association for purposes of legislation, regulation, litigation and other public sector work for over a decade.
Provided legal, regulatory, and consulting counsel for the formation of various regulated companies in Georgia and other locales.
Represented interests of insurers, trade associations, and corporate clients for the purpose of securing regulations and legislation, including drafting the needed work product.
Served as national coordinating counsel for human allograft tissue bank against medical implant products liability claims.
Successfully negotiated with a major insurer a specific package of business insurance coverages on behalf of a trade association.
Represented major insurance distribution corporation for purposes of trade practices investigation by regulator.
Successfully managed class action litigation against a prominent life insurer.
Represented a Georgia domiciled insurer for the issuance of preferred shares and subsequent stock swap.
