Professional Experience
Mr. Pearlstein's practice emphasizes real estate, finance, workouts and leasing. He regularly represents a number of real estate development companies and institutional and other property owners in the acquisition, disposition, development, construction, financing, leasing and management of various types of real property. Mr. Pearlstein also works with major financial institutions in connection with equity investments and a wide variety of financing and leasing arrangements, including significant experience in real estate secured financings and other asset-based lending and debt restructurings involving real and personal property and property interests of diverse types. Mr. Pearlstein's finance practice includes nationwide representation of construction and other real estate secured lenders and representation of lead lenders in large syndicated financings, cross-border and multi-currency credit accommodations, hedging arrangements and transactions, including letters of credit and other forms of credit arrangements. He also has worked on a number of large portfolio transactions involving the acquisition or disposition of asset pools.
Mr. Pearlstein is a frequent lecturer on a wide range of subjects concerning finance, real estate development, risk management strategies, joint ventures and creative deal structuring.
Mr. Pearlstein served as a judicial clerk for one year on the staff of California Supreme Court Justice Stanley Mosk.
