As a member of the Workers' Compensation Practice Group, Mary has handled thousands of workers' compensation matters and represented a large number of trucking companies, nursing homes and hospitals. Mary brings a unique skill set to her practice as an attorney as she holds a Master of Science in Nursing as well as a juris doctor. She is an active lecturer on workers' compensation and medical-legal issues.
Before joining Marshall Dennehey, Mary worked as in-house counsel for a major insurance carrier, concentrating in workers' compensation matters. She has also practiced product liability law, including defense of the orthopedic bone screw litigation. As a nurse, Mary worked for a managed care organization providing medical case management for employers and insurance carriers.
Mary graduated cum laude from Niagara University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1978. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Widener University in 1985. In 1990, she received her juris doctor from Temple University School of Law, where she was student director of the Law Related Education Department, which was responsible for developing and teaching legal courses in the Philadelphia school system.
During law school, Mary was a law clerk for the Honorable Jerome Simandle, Magistrate for the United States District Court in Camden, New Jersey. In addition, she took advanced course work in trial advocacy and was appointed as a student instructor for the Trial Advocacy Department.
Mary volunteers her time for children's education projects in local schools.
