Mary Lou (Mauro) Summerville

Ms. Summerville was raised in a number of U.S. cities. A native Texan, her family not only lived in Waco, Dallas, and San Antonio, Texas before she graduated from high school, they also lived in Denver, Colorado; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduation from Texas A&M University in 1986, she spent a year in Washington D.C. as a research assistant monitoring federal legislation prior to attending law school in 1987. Upon earning her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, she opted to remain in her “adopted” hometown of Houston where she permanently resides with her husband and young son.
