Ms. Summerville joined the Houston office of Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith in 1997. She has extensive experience defending clients in employer liability, environmental liability, and products liability cases with an emphasis on workers' compensation (including LHWCA), toxic torts (benzene, asbestos, silica and ephedra) and multi-plaintiff litigation. With a proven track record of quickly identifying and pursuing the best interests of her clients, she strives to solve problems that face her clients in an effective, efficient and ethical manner.

Ms. Summerville was raised in a number of U.S. cities. A native Texan, her family not only lived in Waco, Dallas, and San Antonio, Texas before she graduated from high school, they also lived in Denver, Colorado; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduation from Texas A&M University in 1986, she spent a year in Washington D.C. as a research assistant monitoring federal legislation prior to attending law school in 1987. Upon earning her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, she opted to remain in her "adopted" hometown of Houston where she permanently resides with her husband and young son.
