Masha Smith has extensive corporate and securities experience, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital market offerings, private equity investments, negotiation of corporate and commercial contracts and general corporate matters. She has represented clients operating in financial services, information technology, energy, mining, logistics and retail industries in domestic and international transactions.
From 2000 until 2009, Masha was an associate in the Washington, DC and Moscow offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
Masha received a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Cornell Law School in 2000 and a B.A. degree with highest honors from Marlboro College in 1996. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Massachusetts bars. She is fluent in Russian.
