    Biography

    Matthew Amodeo is a partner in the Albany office of Drinker Biddle & Reath's Healthcare Practice Group. Matthew's practice is focused primarily on hospital-physician relationships, health care joint ventures, physician integration transactions and managed care contracting. He has extensive experience structuring and negotiating IPA and PHO arrangements, including complex risk sharing arrangements such as global capitation and shared savings arrangements. Matthew regularly advises Drinker Biddle healthcare clients on a myriad of health reform issues under the Affordable Care Act, including the Medicare Shared Savings Program, Bundled Payment Initiatives and ACOs. He is a frequent lecturer to hospital medical staffs on emerging accountable care payment and delivery models. For the past several years Matthew has been a contributing author to the AHLA's Health Plans Contracting Handbook. His most recent contribution includes a chapter on the Implications of HealthCare Reform on Payor-Provider Contracting and Relationships.
