Matt is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Group of the firm's Richmond Office. Matt's practice focuses on construction, insurance, financial services, franchise, title insurance, real estate and other types of commercial litigation. He regularly represents clients in state and federal courts throughout Virginia, as well as in arbitration. Matt also regularly represents financial institutions in regard to consumer credit litigation, including actions filed under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA") and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act ("ECOA").

· Representation of a national bank in a lawsuit attempting to set aside a trust amendment
· Representation of national commercial developer in a lawsuit involving easement rights
· Representation of a national lender in multimillion dollar foreclosure actions and loan workouts
· Representation of a regional beer and wine wholesaler before the Virginia ABC in an action involving the distribution rights of a craft beer
· Recovery of property damage subrogation claim in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia for an insurer of a high-rise office complex
