Matthew D. Friedlander is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.
Mr. Friedlander previously served as a summer associate in the Litigation Department of Foley's Chicago office. His experience also includes serving as a legal extern for the Honorable E. Kenneth Wright, Jr., presiding judge of the First Municipal District of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Mr. Friedlander earned his bachelor's degree in philosophy from Emory University (B.A., 2008), where he was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate. He spent a semester studying at St. Andrews University in Scotland. Mr. Friedlander earned his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 2011) where he was a member and notes editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. During law school, he was a Harno Scholar and president of the Prisoners' Rights Research Project.
Mr. Friedlander authored the note, "Adjudicating in the Kingdom of Ends: A Constructivist Response to the Hart/Dworkin Debate," 2011 Univ. Ill. L. Rev. 1387.
Mr. Friedlander is admitted to practice in Wisconsin.
