Matthew Skolnik joined the firm as an associate in 2012. His practice focuses on business and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Skolnik was of counsel with an intellectual property litigation firm in New Jersey and, previously, a commercial litigation associate with a large firm and a boutique firm in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Skolnik has extensive litigation experience in practice areas that include business/commercial litigation and intellectual property law.
In2010, 2013, and 2014, Mr. Skolnik was named a 'Rising Star' by PennsylvaniaSuper LawyersMagazine.Super Lawyersrecognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in Pennsylvania and no more than 2.5 percent of such attorneys are named to the Rising Stars list annually.
Mr. Skolnik earned his J.D. at Emory University School of Law in 2002, where he was the Executive Managing Editor ofEmory International Law Review. His Comment, The Forum Non Conveniens Doctrine in Alien Tort Claims Act Cases: AShellof its Former Self afterWiwa? was published in 2002.
Having worked as a human resources management consultant with the Corporate Executive Board (Corporate Leadership Council) in Washington, D.C. for two years before law school, Mr. Skolnik brings a unique perspective to counseling business clients before and after litigation commences.
