Maurice M. "Manny" Garcia was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1944. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1969. Since 1971, Manny has been engaged exclusively in Trial Practice, having primary responsibility for complex civil litigation of a wide-ranging nature in both State and Federal Courts. He has also been involved in the presentation of Appellate arguments before various State and Federal Appellate Courts.

Manny received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics with a major in Accounting from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Following his undergraduate education, he entered the University of Miami School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor and graduated cum laude. He was Associate Editor of the University of Miami Law Review, admitted to the Society of Wig and Robe, and a Student Instructor. As a result of his academic achievements, he was also admitted as a member of the National Academic Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. For two years immediately following graduation from law school, Manny served as a Law Clerk for a United States District Judge in the Southern District of Florida.

Manny has served as a member of The Florida Bar Committee on the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and has written articles for and spoken at Continuing Legal Education Seminars sponsored by The Florida Bar.

Manny's practice has included the representation of State and Nationally recognized law firms in the defense of legal malpractice claims, developers in construction defect and sales related disputes including ILSA claims, state and nationally based lenders in a variety of disputes including
