About this office:

Our lawyers provide a wide range of effective legal services relating to real estate, litigation, environmental, governmental relations and corporate matters. We bring a unique perspective to our legal practice, with lawyers who have substantial experience representing both private and governmental clients in commercial transactions and litigated disputes, land use matters and matters pertaining to regulated industries.

Our real estate practice is highly diversified. We represent clients throughout the State of Florida with respect to the purchase, sale and lease of real estate; the financing of such transactions; all aspects of land use law, including Development of Regional Impact reviews, comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning, administrative permitting, (including outdoor advertising, access management, and alcoholic beverages), utility and annexation agreements, historic preservation and redevelopment, and transportation approvals.

Our litigators have extensive experience in representing both private entities and individuals in trials and appeals in federal and state courts, and in arbitration hearings and mediation proceedings. Our lawyers are also experienced in representing clients in administrative proceedings and hearings before federal, state and local agencies. The subject matters of disputes we handle are highly varied. They include real property disputes, commercial contract disputes, employment disputes, surety actions, personal injury claims, securities fraud, consumer protection issues, unfair competition cases, homeowner's association disputes, and construction cases.

The firm's environmental practice includes the representation of sellers, buyers, landowners, and lenders in various business and real estate transactions that involve environmental issues, including entities owning or controlling multiple sites. With regard to real estate transactions, the scope of our environmental practice encompasses hazardous waste regulatory matters, wetland permitting, and threatened and endangered species studies. We also provide full environmental representation for industrial, manufacturing, petroleum, agricultural and commercial businesses. Our services include legal assistance in connection with environmental site assessments and compliance audits, enforcement defense, federal Superfund, storage tank and dry cleaner site regulation, remediation, reimbursement, solid and hazardous waste permitting and compliance, environmental insurance, air and water emissions, permitting and compliance, and health and safety.

In the governmental relations area, we represent businesses seeking selection by a government agency through requests for proposal (RFP) and other competitive bidding processes, which representation includes disputes which arise from such selection processes. The firm also represents companies that are seeking economic incentives from state and local agencies in connection with corporate relocation and job creation programs.

In the corporate area, we represent a diverse range of parties in merger and acquisition transactions, including sellers, buyers, shareholders, and financial intermediaries. That diversity of representation also applies to our services in the product and service distribution channels, where we represent manufacturers, developers, suppliers, processors, value added resellers, and distributors. In both the securities offering arena of publicly held companies and those which are closely held, as well as in compliance matters, we represent issuers, underwriters, broker-dealers and investors.

In the securities area and in other financial services industries, we assist in licensing applications and compliance matters (including SEC and state broker-dealer and investment advisor registrations, mortgage banking and brokerage licenses, insurance licenses, and check cashing and money order transmitting licenses).

We provide contract drafting and negotiation services in an extensive array of commercial transactions. We also are experienced in providing legal services related to corporate governance and non-profit corporation activities and tax exempt status.

We at Mechanik Nuccio are committed and dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients and also to our community. We have invested time and resources in numerous charities in the Tampa Bay area, including The Boy Scouts of America, The YMCA, LifePath Hospice, Suncoast Harvest Food Bank and United Way. Our firm's policy is to encourage and support employees doing volunteer work.
