About this office:

MehaffyWeber was founded in 1946 as a litigation firm. As our clients' needs expanded, we evolved into a broad-based regional law firm with a strong emphasis in toxic tort, environmental, pharmaceutical, labor and employment, health care, premises, product liability and commercial litigation. Our trial lawyers practice in state and federal courts throughout Texas and other states, and our firm functions as national and regional counsel for several clients.

Our clients benefit from an extensive offering of services that encompasses most of the traditional areas of civil law covering a wide range of business and professional issues. Our attorneys, located in offices in Houston, Beaumont, and Austin, Texas, handle the legal interests of multi-national corporations, businesses of all sizes, as well as individuals. It is important to keep our clients current with developments in the major fields of law. To that end, we regularly host seminars for clients, professional groups and trade associations.

Today, we combine the traditional values upon which our firm was founded with an advanced and proactive approach to the practice of law. We understand and appreciate that not all cases, or client situations, are alike. We tailor our approaches to best suit the individual needs of the client. We are proud to have a long record of winning cases in tough jurisdictions, but we also know that not all cases need to be tried, and when appropriate, we work hand in hand with our clients to secure advantageous settlements.

Our attorneys employ unique approaches to case management and utilize pre-trial practices designed to develop cases efficiently and effectively. The key to successful case management is to collaborate with clients to understand their goals and develop strategies that bring desired results. As part of the individual strategies, we are willing to explore alternative billing arrangements, including contingency fees and flat fee arrangements where appropriate.

We believe that our relationships with our clients are tangible assets. We work with each, be they multi-national corporations, regional industries or individuals, to develop plans for successful representation. On occasion, we work in collaboration with other firms to build a strong diverse team in certain cases. We are open to joint ventures that expand our reach and have worked with firms of various sizes in other states to achieve successful results for our clients.

Today, we continue to believe that hard work, ethical and innovative approaches are core values that result in success for the firm and our clients.
