Melanie T. Battaglia is an associate in the Litigation Group in Toronto. She practices in all aspects of family law.
Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Ms. Battaglia practiced at a prominent downtown Toronto firm, conducting a general litigation practice that included corporate and commercial disputes, medical malpractice and criminal/quasi-criminal law.
Ms. Battaglia received her law degree from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law in 2007. She also holds a master's degree in criminology from the University of Toronto (2002), and an undergraduate honours degree in criminology from the University of Windsor (2001). She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008. While at Windsor Ms. Battaglia was a member of the varsity cross-country team and was awarded the Heather Swift Memorial Award for academic and athletic achievement.
Ms. Battaglia is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates Society.
