| Biography | Originally from St. John's, Melissa received her law degree from Dalhousie University (2009), where she graduated on the Dean's List. During law school, Melissa competed in the Smith Shield Moot and was awarded the Leonard A. Kitz prize in Oral Advocacy. Upon graduation, she was also awarded the Elkanah Rafuse prize in Admiralty Law from Dalhousie University and the Maxwell J. Pratt Scholarship from the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
