As a San Joaquin Valley native, Mike has deep knowledge of the region’s businesses. Whether in oil and gas, agriculture, real estate, medical, or other business ventures, Mike has successfully represented his clients in a strong transactional and litigation practice since joining the firm in 1987.
Prior to joining The Law Offices of Young Wooldridge, Mike was the in-house general counsel for Superior Farming Company, a large agribusiness in the San Joaquin Valley. Mike has more than 23 years of business law experience, representing clients in both transactional and litigation matters. His practice areas include real estate, land use, contracts, formation and dissolution of business entities, agriculture law, non-profit law, public entity law, real and personal property financing, as well as receivership and commercial litigation. Mike’s legal services are typically required by developers, builders, investors, landlords, tenants, lenders, entrepreneurs and others who are involved in commercial, industrial, residential, agricultural, non-profit, public entry, and business activities.
Knowing that all legal matters are important, Mike is serious in the pursuit of his clients’ legal rights and remedies. At the same time, he tries to develop a personal relationship with his clients so that they are comfortable with the present matter and also in returning to Mike and the law firm for future legal needs.
Mike stays active in local civic matters; serving as a trustee on the Kern County Museum Foundation and as a member of the Bakersfield South Rotary Club.
