Biography

Mr. Mahone is an associate in the firm's business litigation and energy litigation sections. He has been involved in the litigation of a variety of matters, including defending major oil companies and other companies in numerous legacy lawsuits in state and federal courts in Louisiana that involve allegations of oilfield contamination allegedly caused by historic oil and gas exploration and production activities. He has also defended oil companies and other businesses in disputes involving claims for property damage, environmental contamination, breach of contract, lien enforcement, unjust enrichment, and personal injury, both at the trial court and on appeal.

Mr. Mahone earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University, where he was selected to the Order of the Coif and served as a managing editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law. During his time in law school, he interned at the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Tennessee and at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
