Mr. Oropallo has handled the litigation, trial and appeal of complex civil matters for over twenty years and is the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group Leader. While focusing primarily on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and unfair competition matters, as well as environmental litigation and toxic tort matters, he has a wide breadth of federal and state jury trial experience and regularly counsels clients on litigation and non-litigation alternatives to legal disputes. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Oropallo was employed as a geologic engineer in the Gulf of Mexico. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association (a member of the Executive Committee of the Intellectual Property Section and Chair of the Patent Committee), the International Trademark Association, the Copyright Society, and regularly authors articles and lectures on such topics as trial tactics, intellectual property litigation, complex environmental litigation issues. He is also a member of INTA’s Panel of Neutrals, AAA’s Board of Arbitrators, and acts as a mediator for complex civil and intellectual property matters.
