Michael Blair has been a commercial litigator and trial attorney with Baird, Williams & Greer for over ten years. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in lawsuits involving contracts, real property disputes, fraud, consumer fraud, negligent misrepresentation, non-competition agreements, construction, partnership dissolutions, and malicious prosecution.
Mr. Blair has tried many cases to a jury and to the bench in both state and federal court. He has written several appellate briefs in both state and federal court and argued before the Arizona Court of Appeals. He has also appeared in administrative courts on behalf of subcontractors before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.
Mr. Blair recently worked with Daryl Williams in a trial where the jury rendered a verdict of over $47 million in their client's favor. They represented an Arizona business in a breach of contract claim against a multi-billion dollar Australian company that provided child care services.
During law school, Mr. Blair served on the Brigham Young University Law Review from 1996 to 1998, and specifically as a Senior Editor from 1997 to 1998. As an undergraduate with a degree in music, he performed in more than 100 concerts as both a student and as a paid professional.
Mr. Blair is also active in his community. He currently works with youth as a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, a position he has held for the past five years.
Mr. Blair's hobbies include running (having completed four full marathons), hiking, and spending time with his family. He also speaks, reads, and writes Portuguese.
