Michael D. Annis is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and former managing partner of Foley's Tampa office. As a member of the Taxation and Estates & Trusts Practices, he focuses his practice in the areas of corporate taxation, tax litigation, estate planning, trusts, and probate.
Mr. Annis received his J.D. from the University of Florida in 1969, an LL.M. in taxation from New York University in 1970, a master's degree in accounting from Florida State University, and his Bachelor of Arts from Cornell College.
Mr. Annis is a member of The Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He has been Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system and has been named the Best Lawyers® 2011 Tampa Tax Lawyer of the Year. He has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for over 20 years. In addition, Mr. Annis was selected for inclusion in the 2006-2011 Florida Super Lawyers® lists.
