Michael Frisch is an associate in Mayer Brown's Chicago office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Mike's practice focuses on conducting complex high-profile internal investigations, white collar criminal defense and compliance and complex commercial litigation. Mike often represents companies and individuals in investigations by the United States Department of Justice, States Attorneys General Offices and other regulatory agencies. Mike also has experience in a wide variety of civil matters, having brought a number of high-profile and complex matters from discovery through to trial.
Mike has substantial experience counseling companies regarding compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption laws. Mike has also participated in cross-border internal investigations of potential violations of the FCPA and similar anti-corruption laws for large corporate clients. He often publishes and speaks about the FCPA and other similar anti-corruption laws.
Mike initially joined Mayer Brown in 2008 and rejoined the firm in 2011. In 2010 and 2011, Mike clerked for Judge Robert M. Dow, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mike graduated cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, where he served as Note and Comment Development Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review.
