Mike's primary practice concentration is in the field of property and casualty insurance issues along the Gulf Coast. He has extensive experience in both insurance and commercial litigation in state and federal courts, and his practice ranges from initial coverage opinions to all aspects of litigation and trial of complex cases.
In the past, Mike has taken on a lead role assisting insurance carriers in handling claims arising from the 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons. He also continues to publish and present extensively on insurance issues of a wide range, from those in marine and admiralty to property and casualty to directors' and officers' coverages.
Mike is a Dallas, Texas native who received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 from Spring Hill College in Mobile. Later, in 1995, Mike earned magna cum laude honors in earning his J.D. from the University of Alabama. Mike has been in private practice since 1996, and is admitted to practice before all State and Federal courts in Alabama.
