Michael Maglio's practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial and corporate finance, asset-based lending, and other secured and unsecured lending. He represents institutional lenders and borrowers in structuring, negotiating, and documenting sophisticated single- and multiple-lender and/or borrower-financing transactions. In addition to his transactional finance practice, Mr. Maglio also represents lenders in the areas of creditors' rights and problem loan workouts, with particular emphasis on default resolution and debt restructurings. Mr. Maglio has extensive experience representing institutional lenders in structuring, negotiating, and documenting credit facilities extended to health care institutions, including hospitals, chronic and convalescent nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Mr. Maglio also has extensive experience working with the Export-Import Bank of the United States and is a frequent lecturer on Ex-Im Bank's pre- and post-export loan guarantee programs. He served as an advisor to Ex-Im Bank during the redevelopment and implementation of its loan guaranty programs. He also serves on the Export Advisory Board for the Connecticut Small Business Development Center. Mr. Maglio frequently lectures on finance topics. He served as a member of the advisory committee on Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code for the Connecticut Law Revision Commission.
