Mike's practice focuses primarily on corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, and commercial real estate. Mike has experience with a variety of small business matters including sales and purchases, mortgage financing, and Condominium Law. Mike also assists many organizations, profit and non-profit, with governance issues.
Mike specializes in Franchise Law and is currently assisting several Manitoba businesses in interpreting the new franchise legislation in Manitoba.
Mike also works with partners in the firm in developing his Oil & Gas practice, and is currently an Oil & Gas agent.
Mike has significant experience helping clients with Aboriginal and Environmental Law related matters. While in British Columbia, Mike worked exclusively with Aboriginal and environmental clients regarding natural resource development issues.
Representative Cases/Transactions: Mike has assisted various clientele with purchases of railway line in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. These railway lines serve to provide rural communities with agricultural shipping routes and enhanced local economic growth.
Mike has also helped several restaurants in Winnipeg with leasing, franchising and regulatory issues, and works with the Manitoba Restaurant and Foodservice Association.
