Michael Rodrigue, Jr. joined Adams and Reese in 2006 as a summer clerk and was hired one year later as an associate attorney to support the firm's litigation practice in New Orleans. Since then, Michael has developed extensive pre-trial resolution success and expanded firm experience in many areas of law, including insurance personal injury and premises liability defense, coverage, commercial litigation, D & O liability, shareholder disputes, maritime, products liability, construction defense, general casualty and toxic tort.
Within the firm, Michael has assisted in the recruiting program by serving as a mentor to summer associates. Michael has also participated in the firm's pro bono contribution to the Pro Bono Project and its pro se litigant help desk at Civil District Court for Orleans Parish, State of Louisiana.
Prior to joining Adams and Reese, Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. While at Tulane, Michael was the captain of the Tulane University Golf Team, while simultaneously earning honors with the Golden Key National Honor Society and the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
In the New Orleans Community, he serves as a member of the Fore!Kids Foundation, whose mission is to raise monies for local children charities through golf-related events, including the Zurich Classic of New Orleans - our local PGA golf tournament. He is also a board member of Race Judicata.
His significant contributions include:
· Extensive experience working with insurance companies and their insureds in defense of personal injury, premises liability, and maritime employer liability claims.
· Experience defending a construction company for claims of wrongful demolition in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
In his free time, Michael focuses on his family, New Orleans Saints football, fishing and playing golf.
