Michael H. Rogers concentrates his practice on prosecuting complex securities fraud cases on behalf of institutional investors. Currently, Mr. Rogers is actively involved in prosecuting City of Pontiac General Employees' Retirement System v. Stryker Corporation, City of Monroe Employees' Retirement System v. The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., and Arkansas Teacher Retirement System v. State Street Corp. Since joining Labaton Sucharow, Mr. Rogers has been a member of the lead or co-lead counsel teams in federal securities class actions against Countrywide Financial Corp. ($624 million settlement), HealthSouth Corporation ($804.5 million settlement) and Mercury Interactive Corp. ($117.5 million settlement). Prior to joining Labaton Sucharow, Mr. Rogers was an attorney at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP, where he practiced securities and antitrust litigation, representing international banking institutions bringing federal securities and other claims against major banks, auditing firms, ratings agencies and individuals in complex multidistrict litigation. He also represented an international chemical shipping firm in arbitration of antitrust and other claims against conspirator ship owners. Mr. Rogers began his career as an attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell, where he was part of Microsoft's defense team in the remedies phase of the Department of Justice antitrust action against the company. Mr. Rogers received a J.D., magna cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a member of the Cardozo Law Review.
