| Biography | Michael Schefer is a member of the business and finance practice group with emphasis on securities, mergers and acquisitions, business organization and structuring, commercial finance and leasing. His practice includes a broad range of corporate counseling and domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, private equity financings, and private and public offerings of equity and debt securities. Mr. Schefer has experience in all aspects of merger and acquisition transactions, including purchase agreement drafting and negotiation, due diligence investigations and disclosure schedule preparation, ancillary agreement drafting and transaction closings. He has substantial experience in drafting and negotiation of joint venture agreements, licensing agreements, distributions agreements, service and supply agreements, employment agreements, consulting agreements, shareholder and investor rights agreements, loan and security agreements and confidentiality agreements. Prior to joining Parr Brown, Mr. Schefer was an associate with White & Case LLP. He earned a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Utah in 2001. He was selected by his peers as one of Utah's Legal Elite in corporate law for 2011-2012 in Utah Business magazine.
