Michael Abitabilo is an Associate in the White Plains office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Mr. Abitabilo's practice focuses on employment litigation, as well as both public and private sector labor law. He is a member of both the New York State and Westchester County Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before the New York State Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
For almost five years, Mr. Abitabilo assisted in writing a weekly column entitled The Next Day At The Office addressing in a humorous way, the legal workplace issues as portrayed in the television show The Office.
Mr. Abitabilo received a B.A. from Marist College and later earned his Juris Doctor degree at Hofstra University School of Law. While at Hofstra, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of theHofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal, and was a member of the Moot Court Association. In addition to receiving an award for excellence in commercial law courses, Mr. Abitabilo was proud to receive the Jonathan Falk Memorial Scholarship, awarded to the candidate who exhibits those qualities of personality, intellect, and interest in labor and employment law that are most similar to those of Jonathan Falk - a former Jackson Lewis associate who tragically passed away in the 1978 San Diego air disaster while traveling to California to meet with a client.
