Michael Andrew practices and consults in the areas of real- and personal-property secured transactions, commercial law, and business bankruptcy. Mr. Andrew's primary practice has been the representation of real-property secured lenders in matters ranging from negotiation, structuring and documentation of loan transactions to foreclosure, workouts and bankruptcy. His expertise includes one-action and antideficiency rules, guaranties, letters of credit, negotiable instruments, and the effect of bankruptcy law on real- and personal-property secured obligations, leases, and other contracts. He is a frequent lecturer and writer on commercial and bankruptcy law, and has taught at Stanford Law School, the University of Colorado School of Law, and the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a contributing author on two treatises, California Real Estate Finance Practice and California Mortgages, Deeds of Trust, and Foreclosure Litigation. Memberships American Bankruptcy Institute.
