Representing financial institutions, healthcare providers and other businesses in complex civil litigation, Michael Harmon seeks reasonable solutions to each dispute in accord with client business objectives. For Michael, the first step in every dispute is to determine the approach that best serves the client's objective for the particular situation. He considers himself fortunate to work with sophisticated clients with whom he has developed relationships, and he views his Waller colleagues the same way.
Since joining Waller in 2008, Michael has defended financial institutions in matters involving derivatives and syndicated loans.
Recently, Michael successfully represented a group of five national lenders in a dispute with the lead bank of a syndicated credit facility. After a two-week evidentiary hearing, arbitrators in the dispute held that the Waller clients had no liability in the matter. In the healthcare industry, Michael represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes.
