Michael Z. Brownstein has counseled clients in all facets of chapter 11 cases, insolvency, workouts, bankruptcy, and reorganization work for more than 35 years. Mr. Brownstein has been responsible for significant representations as either debtor's counsel, committee counsel, committee chairperson or member, lender/lessor counsel, equity committee, and shareholder counsel and has been involved in substantial bankruptcy litigation.
Mr. Brownstein is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Creditors' Rights and Debtors' Protection. He is a frequent lecturer and author on bankruptcy law topics and moderated the New York State Bar Association Program "Practical Skills - Basics of Bankruptcy Practice," and spoke on "LLCs and Bankruptcy" at the Lorman Institute.
