Michel Marcoux is an associate in the Birmingham office and a member of the firm's Corporate Finance & Securities, Healthcare Law, and Government Contracts practice groups.
Michel's practice focuses on representing clients with respect to a variety of general corporate and healthcare matters, including mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, private offerings of debt and equity securities, joint ventures, compliance with healthcare (e.g., Stark, Anti-Kickback, HIPAA) and securities (e.g., 1933 Act, 1934 Act, Sarbanes-Oxley, broker-dealer, investment advisor) laws and regulations and government contracting disputes.
Michel has experience speaking to physician groups and others concerning healthcare-related topics, including compliance with HIPAA and issues to consider prior to signing employment and recruitment agreements.

Prior to attending law school and beginning private practice, Michel worked for several years as an editor and reporter for "The Gray Sheet", a Washington, D.C.-based trade publication covering the medical device and diagnostic industries worldwide.
