Mindy L. Boehr is an associate in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where she is a member of the firm's Environmental Law Department. While Ms. Boehr's practice is focused on serving the environmental needs of clients in the Minneapolis and Indianapolis offices, her experience is nationwide. She has advised clients on environmental liability exposure issues, economic impact evaluation, and legally supportable compensation programs related to the discharge of hazardous substances and petroleum products on to real property. She has also worked with clients on air and water compliance issues.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Ms. Boehr was a student attorney for the Conservation Law Clinic and Indiana Legal Services, both in Bloomington, Indiana. In addition, she was selected to participate as a law clerk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of General Counsel Honors Program, served as a law clerk in EPA's Office of Regional Counsel - Region 7, and served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Mary Ellen Diekhoff of the Monroe County Circuit Court.
Ms. Boehr received her B.S. in biochemistry in 2004 from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, where she was a Lancy Scholar. In 2008, she received her J.D. from Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington. During law school, she was vice president of the Environmental Law Society, a governing board member of the National Association of Environmental Law Societies, a member of the Health Law Society, and a participant in the 2006 Sherman Minton Moot Court and 2007 Pace Environmental Moot Court. She is currently a SOLAR Panel Member for Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB) and a member of Giving Sum. In 2011, Ms. Boehr was accepted into the Indianapolis Bar Association's Bar Leader Series.
Ms. Boehr is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana.
