Monica S. Ullagaddi is an attorney in the firm's Electrical Patent Prosecution practice group, where she works with clients to protect valuable intellectual property assets.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ullagaddi worked at various patent law firms, where she opined on infringement and freedom-to-operate patent issues. Ms. Ullagaddi also assisted in litigation and pre-litigation support activities. She has conducted patent searches, as well as drafted and prosecuted numerous patent applications, including many patent applications originally filed in foreign countries.
Ms. Ullagaddi's patent prosecution experience spans a wide range of technologies, including networking, computer hardware and software, consumer electronics, semiconductor device fabrication, telecommunications, and business methods. She developed technical expertise in these areas from internships at the Department of Defense, and at various defense contractors including The Mitre Corporation and Raytheon Corporation.
During her graduate studies, Ms. Ullagaddi focused on computer networking and in particular, security in networking applications. While working toward her graduate degree, she worked as a research assistant to develop a network layer network traffic scanner.
