The corporate and tax departments work closely together to insure that all transactions handled by the firm receive a multi-disciplinary review. The firm has a substantial estate planning and administration practice coordinating the disposition of assets with the corporate and real estate departments. Our insurance defense department represents insurance companies and self-insured corporations in defending liability and workers' compensation claims. The litigation department handles a variety of criminal and general civil matters including domestic, business, construction, commercial, probate, personal injury, wrongful death, tax appeals, and shareholder disputes. The firm's attorneys have represented state and local governments in education matters, zoning and condemnation matters, tax district issues, law enforcement matters, and personnel matters. The real estate department represents lenders, developers, builders and individuals in the Metropolitan Atlanta area in all aspects of land acquisition and development as well as commercial leasing matters. Additionally, the firm also handles real estate litigation for zoning, condemnation, landlord-tenant, contracts and title problems.
