Morris Dean maintains a national practice advising clients in real estate matters. Mr. Dean serves a wide range of clients in areas such as:
· real estate development, including office building, healthcare facilities, hotel and shopping center development, and a broad range of developments involving mixed public-private participation
· development and financing of governmentally assisted private sector facilities, as well as affordable tax credit housing
· evaluating economic assistance opportunities and then advising the client in weighing the impact of the potential assistance on its site selection decision, and in building its case in the competition for the assistance dollars
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Dean served as a Pennsylvania deputy attorney general.
Mr. Dean has written and lectured widely on governmental assistance issues. He delivered a presentation on tax increment financing at the Seminar and Meeting of the Pennsylvania Association of Bond Lawyers. He authors articles for publication in journals, including "Pennsylvania Economic Assistance Dollars Can Make the Difference," Tri-State Real Estate Journal, 1993 and "Special Consideration for Tenants in Multi-Tenant Office Buildings," Real Estate Leasing Practice Manual.
Mr. Dean has received the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Community Service & Affiliations
Mr. Dean serves on the board of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and he is also the vice-chair of the Montgomery County Community Revitalization Board. Mr. Dean is a former chair of the Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority and a member of the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority.
