Morris James offers both IP litigation and counseling services. The firm has served in a lead role in several trade secret, domain name and IP licensing cases and regularly serves as Delaware counsel in other intellectual property litigation, including patent, copyright, trademark and trade dress cases, and associated antitrust disputes. The Morris James IP litigation team consists of Richard K. Herrmann, Mary B. Matterer, Edward M. McNally and Lewis H. Lazarus, as well as a strong administrative staff.

Services Available
Among other recent cases, Morris James has served clients defending or challenging patents on audio and video compact disc technology, biomedical technology, including recombinant DNA, and technology related to highly sophisticated machine tools.
Our attorneys also were active, along with out of state counsel, in representing the owner of copyrighted computer software in obtaining emergency injunctive relief, including the execution of a search and seizure order, against copyright infringers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Delaware law offers corporations some unique tax advantages with respect to intangible assets, such as intellectual property.
