Moss Shapiro, concentrates its practice in labor and employment law on behalf of management. The Firm's attorneys are admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New York, California, Washington and Washington, D.C. The Firm regularly represents clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies throughout the northeast and the nation.

The Firm's exclusive goal is to provide the best counseling and representation to its clients to help them achieve their goals. To achieve that purpose, the Firm's practice is organized along four major areas: advice concerning labor and employment matters on behalf of unionized and non-unionized private and public sector employers; litigation of all employment and labor related matters on behalf of management; employee benefits and executive compensation including methods of compensation, health and retirement plan design and compliance; and corporate and general business advice.

The Firm's clients range from sole proprietorships to multi-state corporations with over 100,000 employees, and include virtually every sector of the economy, from banks and hospitals to corporations involved in manufacturing, transportation, public utilities, hospitality and retailing, as well as high technology companies and other service industries (including law firms).

Currently, more than fifty percent of the Firm's work involves matters outside the borders of the state of Maine. Because of the regional nature of the Firm's practice, several national corporations use Moss Shapiro for their legal work throughout New England.
