Practice/Industry Group Overview
Moye White's construction attorneys represent and protect client interests in public and private sector construction-related projects. We understand the multiple facets of construction law and counsel in areas ranging from contract drafting, negotiation, and administration, to assertion and defense of construction claims in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations.
We provide assistance to owners, homeowners' associations, architects, engineers, general contractors, specialty subcontractors, designers and developers, as well as material and equipment suppliers. Our expertise spans construction of custom homes, multi-family and mixed-use projects, airports, bridges, high-rises, and highways, manufacturing and warehouses, sports complexes, schools, power plants, recreational facilities, transportation, and underground utilities.
Our attorneys have significant experience with mechanics' liens, and claims of bad faith, liability, delays, payment and performance bonds, as well as design, structural, electrical, roofing, concrete and steel, HVAC, OSHA, and water intrusion/drainage defects.
Since real estate and construction development often are intertwined, our construction attorneys work closely with our real estate attorneys on property acquisition, bid documentation and selection, financing compliance, zoning, and environmental permitting.
