Practice/Industry Group Overview
Moye White's technology attorneys understand more than the nuts and bolts of "technology law," we are on intimate terms with the actual inner workings of technology itself. Whether building a computer from a box of parts, constructing a network or serving as a Web master for a local school, technology is not just our job, it is what many of us do for fun.
We assist clients in creating, implementing and exploiting Internet, e-commerce, cable, broadband, wireless, and other emergent technologies. We are in the thick of technology transactions, such as software development, licensing, technology transfers, Web site development and hosting, and ASPs. We protect and defend copyrights and trademarks as if they were our own, because we know that's exactly how our clients feel about their intellectual property.
Our attorneys consult on regulatory and disclosure issues, including those related to privacy, security, defamation, and validity and enforceability of electronic contracts, signatures, and documentation. We also counsel clients regarding the creation and implementation of timely, relevant IT policies and procedures to protect their companies and proprietary information technology assets.
We design strategies and implement practices that reduce the risk of litigation. When litigation is unavoidable, our technology trial team has significant experience prosecuting and defending technology cases, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, antitrust, and breach of contract claims.
