Maintains a civil litigation defense practice primarily focusing in the areas of nursing home litigation, medical malpractice defense, pharmacy malpractice defense and general insurance defense. Has handled cases statewide and regionally on behalf of health care providers defending claims of medical malpractice, negligence and violations of regulations.

Speaker at a number of continuing education seminars on topics including wrongful death and discovery in complex civil litigation.

Transactions Obtained defense verdict following two-week jury trial in Garland County, Arkansas in a nursing home negligence case in which plaintiff alleged dehydration, broken leg and pressure sore were the result of poor care and understaffing and asked the jury for a multiple million dollar award; Obtained defense verdict following two-week jury trial in Pulaski County, Arkansas in a "bet-the-home: nursing home negligence case where plaintiff alleged that six Stage IV pressure sores were the result of poor care and corporate greed; Successfully defended and prevented class certification in several cases against long-term care providers in Arkansas where plaintiff alleged class action status under theories of resident's rights and breach of contract; Served as regional counsel for one of the largest long-term care operators in the United States in litigation related to allegations of nursing home negligence; Along with fellow member Stuart Miller, serves as statewide counsel for defense of trucking/transportation claims for one of world's largest retailers; Successfully defended numerous claims of pharmacy malpractice against pharmacy consultants and retail pharmacists; Serves as counsel for central Arkansas insurance company handling matters related to claims against policy holders, policy disputes, bad faith claims, etc.
