Biography

Joshua M. Krasner is Of Counsel in the Raleigh, North Carolina, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He has focused his practice in the areas of employment law, employment litigation and labor relations since 1997.

Since that time, Mr. Krasner has gained substantial experience defending companies against allegations of discrimination and harassment arising under Title VII, the FMLA, the ADA and the ADEA, and representing employers before the EEOC and in both state and federal court. Mr. Krasner is also well-versed in both state and federal wage and hour laws and regularly defends companies against claims of unpaid overtime, minimum wage violations and related wage payment claims arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and the North Carolina Wage and Hour Act. In addition, Mr. Krasner represents clients being audited for compliance by both the North Carolina and United States Departments of Labor.

Mr. Krasner also regularly provides day-to-day counseling to management and human resources professionals regarding disciplinary decisions, complaint investigations, wage and hour questions, employee leave issues, as well as on employee handbooks, drug testing and Department of Transportation regulatory compliance.

In the area of labor relations, Mr. Krasner has defended companies in representation hearings and in unfair labor practice litigation before the National Labor Relations Board.

While attending law school, he was a member of the Wake Forest Law Review. He was also a member of the Moot Court Board and was awarded Best Brief - 1st Yr. at Moot Court Competition. Following law school, Mr. Krasner served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable I. Beverly Lake, Jr., Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina.
