Jade Cobb focuses her practice on representing management in matters related to litigation and employment issues including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, and state law. Jade assists management with wage and hour issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act, including investigations by the Department of Labor. Jade also counsels employers in a variety of issues, including FMLA, employment policies, handbooks, contracts, separation agreements, and other workplace matters. She regularly makes presentations on a variety of employment law topics including the FLSA, FMLA, GINA and discrimination. In addition, Jade assists clients in developing Affirmative Action Plans and defending Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs audits by performing workforce analyses, compensation analyses and adverse impact analyses of employment activity. She also has experience researching the statutes and agency regulations governing AAP and OFCCP issues. Jade has also assisted with OFCCP on-site audits nationwide. During law school, Jade completed an externship with the Honorable Judge Richard A. Elmore of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She also completed a legal internship with a worldwide tire manufacturer, which involved assignments in the southern United States and Canada. Jade also served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law.
