Nabeel Ahmad's disputes practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation in the areas of securities fraud, white collar crime and antitrust, as well as the defense of product liability and other complex tort claims. In the former area, Nabeel has defended corporate and individual clients in SEC investigations and in controversies before federal, state and international courts. In the latter area, he has defended companies both in Massachusetts courts and around the country against product liability claims in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, plumbing products and heating and air conditioning products. Among other things, Nabeel is part of a team that has served as national counsel to a major valve manufacturer in hundreds of asbestos cases; represents an HVAC manufacturer in Massachusetts asbestos litigation; co-authored an amicus brief involving rarely asserted pharmaceutical product liability claims; and co-authored a book chapter addressing emerging issues in the defense of medical device claims.
Nabeel's pro bono practice largely involves the representation of individuals in immigration and asylum matters. He also represents indigent clients in education and housing disputes.
