Nancy Brandel is a senior attorney in the Real Estate Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Areas of Practice
Ms. Brandel has substantial experience in commercial leasing, property management and property acquisitions and dispositions. She has expanded her practice at Sheppard Mullin into secured real estate finance and loan documentation.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Brandel provided all legal services to and served in a senior management position in a Dutch-owned real estate investment trust. She was responsible for drafting and negotiating all legal documents, including leases; supervising and coordinating litigation and managing outside counsel; coordinating acquisition and disposition of properties, including due diligence, and managing the integration of acquired properties into the portfolio; and supervising legal aspects of property management, including compliance with leases, real estate tax protests and defense of building violations.
