Nancy L. Ickler is of counsel in the Corporate Department in Barnes & Thornburg LLP's South Bend, Indiana office. She practices in the areas of estate planning and administration, corporate law, business succession planning, and not-for-profit entities.
Dr. Ickler is a former director and past president of the Michiana Estate Planning Council. She is a past director of the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County, Inc., where she served as chair of the Grants Committee and on the Lawyer's Professional Committee. Dr. Ickler was is also a director of Memorial Health Foundation, Inc., serving for many years as chair of the Research and Development Committee and for two years as chair of the Foundation. She belongs to the Indiana State and St. Joseph County Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in Indiana.
Dr. Ickler graduated summa cum laude from Michigan State University in 1972 and continued her studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a Ph.D. in Slavic linguistics in 1981. She received her J.D. summa cum laude in 1984 from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
