| Biography | Mr. Kaplan is co-chair of the firm's White Collar group. His practice focuses on white collar crime investigations and trials, internal corporate investigations, criminal tax, securities, environmental, defense procurement, and related civil and administrative proceedings-many of which have been topics for published articles. He served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the United States Attorney's Office (D.C.) from 1974 to 1978 and as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Fraud Section, from 1979 to 1981. Mr. Kaplan has served in faculty positions at Brigham Young University's J. Rueben Clark Law School (1990 to 1998), the Georgetown University Law Center (1981 to 1982), and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. Additionally, he has been named among the Utah Legal Elite and Mountain States Super Lawyers. Fellow: American Inns of Court (Master of the Bench); American College of Trial Lawyers. |
